In the first half of the conference, Drs. Langevin and Wayne introduced the sequence of events that lead to the Forum and explained the importance of connecting clinicians and researchers. Dr. Alessio Fasano’s keynote lecture on the microbiome and intestinal permeability was followed by a clinical panel discussion of related topics including gluten sensitivity and probiotics.
